DMV OFFICES TO CLOSE FOR JUNETEENTH

DMV to Honor June 19 Appointments Through June 30

CARSON CITY – In accordance with legislation signed by Governor Lombardo which officially recognizes Juneteenth as a state holiday in Nevada, all Nevada DMV offices will be closed on Monday, June 19.

“We’re aware that the closure of our offices on a day where customers had appointments scheduled can be jarring,” said Eli Rohl, Public Information Officer for the Nevada DMV. “Those appointments will be honored on a walk-in basis through the end of June. Whenever you have time to come in, just show us an appointment confirmation for June 19 and we’ll fit you right into our schedule.”

Rohl noted that if a customer doesn’t have access to their appointment confirmation emails, the DMV can also look up customers’ appointments at the office where the appointment was booked.

“We recognize that customers who have drive exams scheduled will need to be penciled in for new times; we’re already reaching out to try and accommodate customers who have displaced drive tests.”

Normal DMV operations will resume on Tuesday, June 20.
